So picture this....Me being not such a small guy having to wedge myself under a deck that was only built about 10" off the ground and having to drill a 2" hole through a block foundation for the wires going to a generator. Got the picture? Okay, so here I am wedged in like a lime in a Corona bottle when the onslaught began. Apparently black biting ants don't like people making noise as they lay on top of their only exit from their tidy little farm. Now I need to remind you, it was no easy task to get under the deck in the first place and even harder to back out from under it, but I did persevere and finish the hole and the ants had a well needed snack to help carry them through the winter compliments of my stomach, chest and arm.
Now it has been about two months and all but a few of the bites have healed. Lesson learned - An ant's bite is worse then it's bark! |
